Disney now owns stocks over Fox so on Disney+ they can add on iconic shows such as The Simpsons which would introduce a wider audience who would want to watch these shows. Disney now also own stocks to the National Geographic and can introduce that into Disney+. Rather then having just Disney shows and movies, the streaming site has a wider variety of shows and movies therefore introducing an increase of users meaning more Money. Disney would probably also get money from anything Fox's shows are streamed on channel TV.

mise-en-scene

  1) Denotation - In this scene you can see a scared-looking man wearing a white lab coat in a dimly - lit elevator.

2) Connotations - The setting of this scene is in a dimly - lit elevator with the lights continually flashing increasing the eeriness of the atmosphere. The elevator seems to be quite confined, suggesting that there is no form of escapism available and the constant flashing of the lights almost hints the audience that 'danger is nearby' (this most likely suggests that something unworldly is lurking around the place seeking for its prey). The actor is wearing a white lab coat - this most likely suggests that he does science experiment and is maybe associated with supernatural beings (science typically leads to unworldly things in movies). His petrified facial expression clearly reveals he is unfamiliar to bizarre/paranormal events occurring and is  inferior/defenceless to the current situation.

The companies that were involved were Marvel and Disney. The distributor for this film was Walt Disney studio motion pictures.

 When one company owns everything in the chain. In this case Disney owns marvel therefore Disney is the conglomerate.

One thing I can point out is that theres matchinery and loud music. Theres many action peices.,

The budget For the film was 200 million and they made at the box office over 360 million. This number could've been higher however there were complications in the process such as lock down.

No because the film made less then the money spent it made a total of 140 million but spent around 200 million to make the film

The movie was given a 12A by the BBFC. It was rated 12A meaning that people over 12 can watch and people under 12 can only watch with a supervisor. Getting a 12A is crucial for marvel movies as a majority of their fan base are kids and teenagers. If they neglect these people  and the age rating is higher something like 15 or above this will mean that Marvel is losing out on a lot of money as the movie wouldn't be readily available to most of the target demographic

 1) What is independent cinema and how is it different to Hollywood blockbusters?

Independent films are mostly on low budgets and have more creative input while Hollywood is on higher budgets with less of a say with what they want.

2) What is I, Daniel Blake about?

I, Daniel Blake is about a man who gets a heart attack and is forced to get back to work in order to get money and the benefits aren't helping and finds a single mother on the way with her kids and helps her out while getting attention to people about benefits and the way their being treated.

3) Who directed I, Daniel Blake and why is this important?

Ken Loach is the director of the film. This is important because Ken is filming these type of films for political reasons and wanting to get peoples attention and showing them how their life is like and how people are being treated.

Quotes from the film was projected  around England for people to see, did interviews and wrote it on the newspapers, video being revealed about people saying the quotes from the film.

They take in information but dont really interact.

Opposite of passive and they interact and make choices.

Audiences are always passive and they take the intended meaning from the producer and inject it into their mind suggesting audiences dont differ from each other.

In the clip from the blue planet video i can see that there is information as blue story is a documentary about the ocean life.

. When analysing the clip i could identify pieces of visceral pleasure as you are watching what the sea life do to each other and how they live their life.information and surveillance allows the audience to learn about ocean life and see real life through the perspective of animals and also learn about sea life through David Attenborough's narration. Overall its a good show to watch to relax your mind.

The preferred reading is the producers trying to communicate to the audience.

2. What is the oppositional reading of a media text?

The opinion of the consumer.

3) How does the Harry Brown trailer position the audience to respond to the teenage characters in the film? 

The preferred reading of the content would be that young people are dangerous and dont have feelings.

4) Why might young people reject this reading and construct an oppositional reading of the trailer?

 

Young people might reject this reading of young people as it could be perceived as stereotyping, This may also deter them from watching the actual movie.

Question 9. Charities use pictures of children in their advertisement as a consumer might show sympathy towards the child as children typically give connotations of pure language. They will most likely see denotations of a child suffering and would urge to take action in order to provide support for the child. Children have the inability to protect themselves and are most likely innocent so it would make the audience feel sympathy and take action towards it.
